Wendy Schmidt
Wendy Schmidt was born in 1958 and raised in Coquitlam, and now resides in New Westminster, BC. Her art training comes from taking classes for many years. She played the drums in a band, while painting in between shows.
Her aim is to express her appreciation of nature and wildlife through her paintings and photography. She continues to take classes in both mediums. She enjoys painting wildlife in its natural habitat, doing what nature does best. She likes capturing a peaceful feeling, a calmness of colours.
Wendy is inspired by observing nature. She likes to paint what she knows and sees, then tries to re-create it in a painting. There is lots to create and explore at her home on the Pacific West Coast of British Columbia. Our Creator has given us a never ending discovery in nature.
