JEWELLERY
Leah Shapera

Leah first developed an interest in making different kinds of jewellery, but fell in love with metalsmithing. Over the past 25 years, she has taken a wide variety of classes, courses, and workshops in metalsmithing and jewellery design. In addition to formal education, a number of her skills and approaches are self-taught.
Leah started out working only in sterling silver, but has branched out to include both copper and brass. Each piece of her jewellery is designed and hand-made in her home studio in Vancouver. Her designs utilize various techniques including acid-etching, imprint textures, sand-casting, forging, and patination. She often includes high-quality, semi-precious gemstones and pearls.
