ABSTRACT PAINTING
Donna Konstantin

Donna Konstantin is a contemporary artist who uses acrylics, oils, or gouache as mediums. She developed her own style that she calls Quiet Impressionism, a style that brings together the softness of Impressionism with the grounded presence of Realism.
Further experimentation led her to abstraction where her works have a strong abstract expressionist and intuitive surrealist quality but filtered through gentleness of Quiet Impressionism. In her abstract work she explores the quiet tension between spontaneity and structure. Donna layers luminous colour fields, gestural marks, and fragmented forms to create meditative abstractions that hover between landscape, memory, and dream.
Her paintings invite viewers into spaces where vibrancy meets stillness: where bold hues soften into atmospheric calm and where fractured shapes suggest both natural and emotional terrains. By balancing intuitive brushwork with intricate line work and textures, Donna’s art evokes the layered complexity of perception and the hidden rhythms of the subconscious.
Donna is an Exhibiting member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, board member of the Burnaby Artists Guild, and holds memberships with the Blackberry Artists' Society, South Delta Artists Guild, New West Arts, and others.
Her abstract artwork is created in her home studio in Burnaby. Her paintings are created on gessoed canvases using best quality acrylic paint, and they are varnished for protection and framed accordingly.
