The Blackberry Artist's Society is run entirely by its members; these artists and artisans volunteer a significant amount of their time and energy year round to help with the general operation of the society, and build upon the exciting opportunities to connect with the local community through their creative practice.
The Society operates the only artist-run gift shop in the Tri-Cities area:
The Blackberry Gift Shop, located inside the Port Moody Arts Centre, 2425 St Johns Street, Port Moody - (read more about the shop under the Blackberry Gift Shop tab).
The Society also maintains a showcase year round at the Port Moody Civic Centre (100 Newport Drive). The display cases are located on the stair landing leading to the 2nd floor of City Hall. The showcase is changed monthly featuring a single members' work, or at times a group display. All artwork in the showcase is made by hand and is available for purchase through the Blackberry Gift Shop by making arrangements directly with the shop or through the "Contact Us" form on this website.
The Society maintains an ongoing connection to the community through our online social media efforts and by promoting our events in the community. We encourage you to sign up to receive our E-Newsletter by filling in the information on the 'Contact Us' page. Or follow one of our many social media links so you can be directly connected to your local artist's society.
We invite you to drop us a line with your comments or questions - we're always happy to hear from the community.
